Alto Piemonte

On mountain Nebbiolo, an overlooked corner of northern Italy, and a winery named NOAH


Not having sold many of these over the course of my career on the wholesale side I don't have a bank of snarky comments and inflammatory opinions to draw from. Here then — the Alto Piemonte. Behind every great wine region is a great river.

The region was initially planted by the Romans, and as far back as 1533 there was already a system of taxes and levies being assessed based on the quality of the vineyards. This obscurity works in favor of you the consumer. The overlooked and unknown is where you find tremendous value.
